Theragun Mini (3rd generation)
A small, quiet massage gun that fits in a gym bag. For sore legs and shoulders, not a spa treatment.

The only star rating we could check for this model is on Therabody’s own website: 4.66 from 131 reviews. Brand sites can choose which reviews to show, so this score carries less weight than one from a retailer, and we’ll add retailer ratings as we find them.
The complaints on Therabody’s site are specific, which makes them believable. A few owners say the handle buzzes hard enough to make their hand ache. One says they get less than an hour of battery on the highest setting, against the three hours on the box.
It’s a good present for someone who runs, cycles or lifts and keeps saying they’re sore. It’s an expensive one for anyone else. If they’d use it twice and put it in a drawer, a voucher for a proper massage costs less.
What reviewers praise
- Small enough to pack for a trip
- Quiet motor
- Owners say it helps with tight, sore muscles
What they complain about
- The handle vibrates enough to tire the hand and wrist
- Some owners get well under the advertised three hours of battery at top speed
- At least one report of a faulty power switch
- Not for
- Anyone with sore or weak wrists. Some reviewers find the vibration through the handle uncomfortable after a few minutes.
